Job Title: Midwife
Job Description:
Provide obstetrical care to pregnant women and their babies, doing follow-up before, during and after delivery according o MSF protocols.
Properly follow up all new-born babies from delivery until discharge
Ensure all drugs; material and equipment are available at the beginning and end of the shift to enable work to be performed safety.
Maintain accurate data and record information in OPD/JPD register and patient charts always.
Document all care thoroughly and ensure continually at care through handover.
Provide health education on a regular basis to the inpatients.
Ensure MSF hygiene, stabilization and waste management protocols are correctly followed.
Participate in any other related activities as requested by the supervisor.
Required Skills and conditions:
Midwife qualification with preferably 1 year of active clinical experience since graduation
Valid practicing licence
Strong work, ethic, commitment to humanitarian objectives and patient care
Motivation, flexibility and capacity to work as a team and in emergency program.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Hausa (required).
