Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Lagos State
Job Description
The Health and safety officers will develop, maintain and protect health and safety standards within the organisation and onsite in accordance with current health and safety legislation.
Other responsibilities required are stated below:
Liaising with relevant authorities and making regular site inspections
Organising monthly health and safety meetings
Safely handling hazardous substances and identifying potential hazards
Planning safe working practices and making necessary changes
Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
Undertaking risk assessments and determining ways of reducing risks
Keeping up to date with developments within the profession
Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers
Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies
Requirements
Must possess OND certificate
Certifications in HSE is COMPULSORY
Intermediate computer literacy
1 – 2 years working experience
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
