The crisis generated by the Rivers State governor who quickly extended a hand of friendship and offered a congratulatory message to President Muhammadu Buhari after his party’s candidate was defeated at the tribunal.
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal had led some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors to visit the Rivers State governor in Port Harcourt.
Tambuwal told newsmen that their visit was to appreciate the governor for his outstanding achievements and developmental strides in the state.
But there are speculations that the meeting was due to fears that the Rivers State governor is not happy with his party over the choice of Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 general election against his preferred candidate Aminu TambuwaL who led the delegation.
Wike had congratulated Buhari and heavily criticized his party leaders for visiting President Buhari at night while pretending to be against him.
Many people still believe that the exact purpose of the meeting is yet to be revealed.
