The comments of an aide to the Governor of Kano State Abdullahi Ganduje, Salihu Tanko Yakasai on Tuesday the 24th of September 2019 has generated mixed reactions and also heightened tension on claims by some Nigerians that the Vice President was being intimidated ahead of the 2023 elections.
Salihu Yakasai is the governor's Director general on media and communication.
Yakasai had responded to tweets about why the Vice President did not join other dignitaries and top government functionaries to attend the United Nations event taking place in New York.
In his comment to the post, Yakasai called the Vice President "VP Academics" an indication that he saw the Vice President in a very insignificant way.
The comments that were attributed to the Vice President has generated angry reactions fromOsinbajo's loyalists in the All Progressives Congress.
