The "gods" Strike 36 Cows Dead In Ondo State

Tragedy struck in a remote community in Ondo State when thunderstruck 36 cows dead. The incident was said to have happened at the mountain top of Ijare community in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State.

Some herdsmen were said to have taken their cattle to the sacred mountains at Ijare to graze. According to the norm of the community, it is forbidden for anyone aside from the King to approach the mountain for any purpose.

The Owa mountain is reserved for kings and no one is allowed to go there. Most people in the community believe that the angry gods had sent the thunder to kill the cows because they were grazing on the sacred mountain.

The herdsmen who led the cattle were said to have fled when the incident happened, leaving their lifeless cows behind.
