Bello's New Deputy To Assume Office

The executive governor of Kogi state Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello has nominated a new deputy governor to replace the impeached former deputy governor Simon Achuba.

When Bellos Chief of staff Edward Onoja resigned his appointment as the chief of staff to the governor, many people who are not conversant with Kogi politics felt that he was merely trying to devote more time to campaigns and electioneering.

But things began to take shape after Bello’s deputy was impeached just a few days after Edward Onoja resigned. Edward Onoja has been announced and nominated as the new deputy governor.

The earlier choice of Achuba which went wrong was based on the confusion that followed the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he never got along with governor Bello as much as his chief of staff Edward Onoja to the extent that in the public eye, Edward Onoja was seen as the number two man after the governor.
