The Academic Staff ion of Universities (ASUU) has dared the Federal government of Nigeria by refusing to adopt the Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System.
ASUU through its chairman Prof Ogunyemi claims that they are confident of flooring the federal government because they had an agreement as far back as 1992 which exempts them from such financial systems.
ASUU claims that the system which originated from the World Bank is not ideal for Nigeria and they would not be a party to it.
The federal government had earlier issued a deadline for all organizations to comply and join IPPIS or risk not getting paid.
The Union has stressed that they are ready for industrial action with the federal government if the threat is carried out.
