FIRS - Should Nigerians Be Taxed for Talking

Reports are making the rounds that were attributed to the chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service. It has to do with the introduction of taxes for communication.
Nigerians are not just known for their high population but also their political awakeness. In most developed countries, their economic and socioeconomic activities have not halted the way it is done in Nigeria each time there is political activity.

Nigerians, especially on social media, express their opinion on the trending political and social issues.

The introduction of communication tax will mean that so many Poor Nigerians will not be able to voice their opinions on trending issues that affect them.

Although the reports are still unconfirmed, it is obvious that the Nigerian government has taken to taxation as one easy way to raise revenue
