Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has joined millions of patriots across Nigeria to celebrate this year's Independence Day.
The former president who governed Nigeria for six years tells Nigerians why they should be happy irrespective of current challenges.
His message to Nigerians was shared on his social media page on the 30th of September 2019
Jonathan mentioned that the heroes of Nigeria who have given their lives and have shown so much zeal for the country should be celebrated by all on the occasion of Nigeria's 59th Independence anniversary.
He urged Nigerians to keep faith in the country which he believes will overcome all its challenges.
Dr. Goodluck Jonathan lost the 2015 presidential election to incumbent Muhammadu Buhari and since then he has continued to advocate for peace and democracy around the world and in Nigeria too.
