INEC Townhall Meeting In Bayelsa State Ends In Commotion

When the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) claims that the body is ready for an election, people think that the election is likely to be hitch-free.

But in Bayelsa state, the story is different as a program made to showcase INEC readiness for the forthcoming election in Bayelsa state ended in commotion as major parties staged a walkout.

Participants deviated from the main objectives of the meeting, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Clashed at the meeting, they were exchanging words and hauling accusations at each other.

It was reported that the chairman of INEC was in the state and witnessed the embarrassing situation. He was left dumbfounded.

The incident has raised fears among members of the public on how the election will be since major participants are finding it difficult to cooperate with INEC to conduct a peaceful poll.
