Meet This Mairuwa Who Claims To Be A Graduate

It is often common to see the popular Mairuwa in major streets in the FCT and many other places pushing a large volume of water entered in 20 liters containers on the road and various settlements.

Some of them are from the northern part of Nigeria or even from neighboring countries and they hardly speak English or even the popular pidgin English. This does not hinder their business every day as customers still engage with them to buy water.

The story of Lawali Laqan is quite different. Lawali who has 413 friends on facebook claims to be a graduate of the Federal University of Technology Yola.

He delivers his services in the Dutse Alhaji area of Abuja and even claims to have established customers who request for his services by making a call to his number.

A closer look at his facebook profile shows the application of facebook apps in a very intelligent manner pointing to the fact that although many people see all Mairuwa as illiterates, Lawali could have attended a Federal University.
