No More Strike, As NLC Partially Suspends Strike, Backs FG

There seems to be a major breakthrough in the ongoing negotiations between the federal government of Nigeria and the organized labour as both parties have made concessions.

Before news of the concessions was announced, there were rumors that major labour groups such as NUPENG and PENGASSON had pulled out of the planned strike even before the organized labour made any announcement.

The Nigerian Labour Congress has also agreed that the government has made some concessions which are good news for the Nigerian workers. They maintain that some very key aspect of the negotiations that are still in contention.

If the news of the pullout is anything to go by, then there is not going to be a strike because they control the aspect of labour that has the biggest impact on the country's economy.

However, some states chapter of the NLC that got the information late went on with the planned strike.
