The Vice President of Nigeria Prof Yemi Osibanjo has stated that the main problem facing most businesses in Nigeria is that of trust. People want to do business and will succeed more if they have people of trust and integrity te vice president said.
Prof Yemi Osibanjo was speaking at the 6th convocation ceremony of Baze University in Abuja. He stressed that from his interactions with most business owners their greatest challenge has been untrustworthy employees.
Lack of trust is the reason why most business owners are not ready to expand their business for fear of being cheated by dishonest workers. He also narrated how a man who had no collateral secured loans from financial institutions to set up a business which currently employs over 300 Nigerians.
The Vice president charged the graduating students who attended the convocation to have integrity above all things because without it they may not be able to meet their expectations.
The event was also attended by prominent Nigerians such as the former Vice president Namadi Sambo, Obong of Calabar, Emirs and the founder of Baze University Dhatti Baba.
