Since Atiku launched his appeal against the decision of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to strike out his case against President Buhari, the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), have continued to allege that Buhari and his Asorock cabals are trying to buy the judges to decide in their favor.
The Supreme court has also criticized the CUPP or carrying out what it describes as a campaign of calumny against the judiciary and the supreme court. Te group was accused of trying to influence the court judgment.
The ruling of the supreme court on the matter will put to rest the controversy surrounding the 2019 presidential election in which Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claim was rigged in favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Buhari’s party.
The PEPT had struck out the motion of the PDP claiming that their claims of election rigging cannot be substantiated.
