A social media user (name withheld) has brought out a 2013 edition of the Nation News Paper in which the then Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and its publicity secretary condemned the reintroduction of toll gates.
Amidst speculations that the APC led federal government is set to reintroduce toll gates in major cities in Nigeria, Nigerians dugout from the archives a news report from the defunct ACN which fused into the APC.
Alhaji Lai Muhammed was then the party's Publicity secretary. He presented his party's position in 2013, denouncing the move by the administration of former President Jonathan to reintroduce toll gates in Nigeria as a way of generating more revenues for the government.
This is coming at a time when the APC led federal government is seeking to improve the countries revenue using toll gates.
Nigerians have also expressed readiness to vehemently oppose any attempt by the APC led the federal government to reintroduce it in the country.
