It is not out of place to say that the All Progressives Congress is on the road to a major crisis that may affect its performance in the 2023 general elections.
There are indications that APC’s heavyweight Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his supporters are not happy over recent developments in the party which has been making national headlines since Bhari began his second term.
Tinubu who is considered to have the intention to contest the 2023 presidential election has had his major supporters in the Buhari presidency harassed with corruption and other allegations in the past few months the latest being the Vice President and former Lagos Attorney general Yemi Osinbajo.
But the recent happenings have destabilized members of the party in the southwest which is known to be Tinubu’s stronghold, his supporters are ready to join another platform to enable Tinubu to actualize his 2023 presidential election if care is not taken.
Tinubu draws a large following in the Southwest especially Lagos, Ogun, Osun and Some states in the middle belt. If the crisis is not contained, his exit from APC may weaken the party beyond imagination.
