A
popular journalist who features in one television program Journalist Hangout
has predicted that vote-buying will plague the forthcoming governorship
election in Kogi state.
Speaking on a live
program held on Wednesday Babajide Otiteju predicted that Politicians will buy
votes for as much as N10,000 in the coming elections in Kogi state.
His shocking prediction
is coming on the heels of photos making the rounds about some people who
attended the APC campaign rally and were counting bundles of money supposedly
responsible for the rented crowd allegations.
The mass poverty in the
country and the worsening economic challenges have been blamed for the problem
of vote-buying in Nigeria.
