Rumors have been making the rounds about the wife of Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari since her husband began his second term as president. Aisha Buhari has been a vocal figure in the presidency even once threatening not to support her husband reelection if he fails to do the right things.
He has also lashed out at some loyalists of her husband for taking advantage of their closeness to the presidency to deprive Nigerians of the dividends of democracy.
Reports had it that she is somewhere in America but that is yet to be verified. I was observed that the first lady attended hajj with her husband in Sudi Arabia but little is known in the public space of her whereabouts since then.
She has been represented in many public events lately which is raising suspicion and speculations in the public on her relationship with Buhari who was said to have spied on her on live TV on election day to see if she voted for him.
Recently, the BBC released a documentary about the sex for mark scandals in Nigerian Universities and she was among stakeholders that were scheduled for briefing. Aisha Buhari was represented once again by Aisha Rimi who pledged the first lady's commitment to fish out the perpetrators and ensure that justice is served.
