Nigerians
are still baffled by the court ruling that upheld the Appeal of the candidate
of the All Progressives Congress (APC). After losing at the tribunal the APC
candidate filed an appeal against the election of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo
state.
In a public holiday
ruling, the judges were said to have upheld the appeal against governor Makinde
of Oyo state sparking mixed reactions from members of the public.
Governor Makinde was
elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it seems that
the legal battle may lead to a rerun or a total change of administration in the
state.
However, no official
statement has been issued by the Oyo state government on the ruling and the
exact implication of the ruling is still not clear to the public.
Some people are arguing
whether a public holiday ruling should be considered as lawful and valid
