Babangida Condemns Kogi, Bayelsa Polls, Calls for Poll Cancellation

Former governor Babangida Aliyu of Nger state has called for the cancellation of the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states. Babangida made the call during a Prèss briefing by his aide Bala Bitrus in Minna the Niger state capital.

The recent governorship election in both states has been widely condemned as unfair and not credible. 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the senate has also publicly condemned the election which was won by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Babangida made the statement through his media aide on Thursday after most Election observers gave their reports.
