Buhari Denies Third Term Agenda, Pledges to Abide By the Nigerian Constitution


President Muhammadu Buhari has distanced himself from reports making the rounds that e is planning for a third term as president. Speculations about Buhari’s third term agenda heightened as the president of the senate Ahmed Lawan declared that he will support whatever the president brings to the senate.

It has also been reported that the senate may work on a bill sent to it by

the presidency to seek a constitutional third term amendment in the Nigerian constitution in 2020.

Buhari made the claim during the National Executive Council Meeting of the All Progressives Congress stating that he will not seek a third term as president of Nigeria.

Buhari also decried the loss of states such as Adamawa, Zamfara to the opposition party.
