After the fire
incident that caused a lot of damage to shops and even claimed many lives at
Ochanja market in Anambra state, notable Nigerians have been showing solidarity
with the victims and provding compensations for them.
The recent being the Catholic Church which has organized a public mass to
pary with victims and offer cash donations to them.
Though the prayers and the donations will not bring back the dead or
immediately restore formally thriving businesses, it will help them put their
pieces of the lives back together again.
It was reported that the church gave 21 million naira to be shared among
the victims irrespective of religion.
