Fashion has been greatly transformed from what
is traditionally used to be among the Igbos from southeast Nigeria. Generally,
there have been modifications and styles which have made it impossible for any
ethnic group to stick to a single style of dress.
In all the diverse
styles that are obtainable today, it is often easy to spot a particular culture
from a dress.
The men in this
photo had different styles of Igbo dresses and still maintained that unique
identity making it difficult to determine whether one aspect of the dress is
more important or significant than the other.
The man with the red
cap, the horn, the bead, looked as unique as others who were not having all
together.
Just one cultural
artifact seems to be enough to represent their cultural background.
Most fashion
designers understand this and have left no stone unturned in breaking new
grounds in clothing design.
