The activities of
cultists in Kogi State University are at an all times high at the moment as
most students now live in fear. Gunshots have been reported in various locations
in the University and there seems to be no end in sight.
News of students who have been murdered in cold blood by these merchants
of death has remained a trending topic among students who are faced with the
dilemma of going about their normal duties amidst threats from cultists.
Students have also maintained that the University management is yet to
take any decisive action on the state of insecurity in the University.
However, some students have argued that not all students affected by the
activities of cultists in the university are cultists, rather they are seen as
victims of circumstances.
As one student puts it, “no one is safe in the campus right now”.
