Students at Kogi State
University can now have a sigh of relieve after what most students have
described as the reign of terror by various cult groups in the institution.
Cultism is one very ugly trend in Nigerian higher institutions that has
led to the destruction of valuable human life by young students who may have
sold their souls to the devil. When the spate of killings and attacks in the
University became unbearable, students began to cry out to appropriate places
for help.
Firstly, they sought the intervention of the school management to curb
the ugly trend but nothing was done.
Now the state government has intervened calling on appropriate authority
in the institutions to take action within 14 days or risk a drastic decision
from him.
Governor Bello who is vigorously campaigning for his reelection will be
the last people to tolerate any dent on his much talked about achievement in
security.
