Democracy Not In Danger As Court Sacks APC Senator

Loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been celebrating the judgment of the Appeal Court which nullified the election of Prince Dayo Adeyeye of the All Progressives Congress.

The tribunal had earlier sacked Adeyeye but he appealed the decision of the court hoping to get a favorable judgment but he did not. Instead, Senator Olujimi has been declared as the duly elected senator and winner of the Ekiti South senatorial district.

Meanwhile, the APC has criticized the judgment claiming that it did not reflect the wishes of the people. They have also lambasted the PDP for praising the courts only when they get a favorable judgment from the court.

The PDP is noted to often criticize court judgments that did not favor them, claiming that democracy was in danger.
