After telling Nigerians some days ago that
Nigerian roads are not as bad as is being portrayed by most people, Minister
Babatunde Fashola now claims that he was misquoted or misinterpreted.
Nigerians were
outraged when news broke out of a statement attributed to Fashola who is
Nigeria's Minister of Works and Housing. he was alleged to have siad that Nigerian
roads are not as bad as is being said in the public.
He was widely
condemned for not being aware of the true states of the roads in Nigeria. Some
social media users even went as far as sharing photos of the bad roads in their
areas to prove Minister Fashola wrong.
But the minister has
responded to the public outcry by insisting that he did not mean to say that
Nigerians roads were not bad.
He was only talking
about the immense progress that has been made in constructing and
rehabilitating major roads in Nigeria.
