There have been many
endorsements in the major political parties in the past few days especially
because the state governorship election is a few days away. The latest
endorsement came from a former governor of the state and brother to Engr Musa
Wada.
Captain Idris Ichalla Wada, the immediate past governor of Kogi State has
confirmed his endorsement of his brother to become the next governor of Kogi
state.
Captain Wada was defeated in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary
election, he came third in the keenly contested primary which went in favor of
Musa Wada.
Some analysts have speculated that Wada’s participation in the primaries
was somehow linked to the ambition of his brother Musa Wada. He was probably
afraid of the interest of former governor Ibrahim Idris and his son in the
election.
His endorsement has allayed fears that he might not work for Musa Wada to
emerge victoriously.
