A photo is circulating
online showing the governor of Kogi state and candidate of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), Yahaya Bello personally destroying posters believed to be that
of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Many people have reacted to the photo, calling it a demonstration of
politics of bitterness in Kogi state. Both parties have been accused of violent
activities towards the other and there seemed to be no end in sight.
A few days ago, it was alleged through a viral video that thugs in Ankpa
Local Government believed to be loyal to the PDP and its candidates staged an
attack against the convoy of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Although supporters of the governor quickly dismissed the photo as fake
and sponsored by the opposition, the media team of Yahaya Bello campaign is yet
to release a public statement on the issue.
