Governor Empowers Youths with 500 Bicycles for Palmwine Tapping

The executive governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello was alleged to have empowered about 500 youths in Kogi state with Bicycles. They are to use the bicycles to engage in Palmwine tapping to boost the local economy.

Although there is no evidence that the state government provided the bicycles as alleged, the governor's media team has also not rebuffed the reports which are making the round.

Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have however dismissed the reports claiming that it is a ply by the opposition to discredit the governor.

A few others consider the reports as true and as a desperate campaign strategy of governor Bello ahead of the 2019 general election.
