Opposition Plots To Bring-down “Buhari’s Son”

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has described himself on several occasions as the political son of President Buhari. He has also been quoted to have said that if Buhari asks him to jump into the fire, he would not hesitate to do so.

After winning the governorship election with a wide margin, opposition parties have concluded plans to bring Bello’s government down.

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and its candidate Yusuf Mamman have written to the chairman of INEC Prof Mahmoud Yakub calling for the cancellation of the election.

The reason they offered for writing the letter was that there party’s logo was not on the ballot.

They decried that their party faithful could not find them on the ballot because of that.

They have now joined the lists of parties such as the Social Democratic Party, Peoples Democratic Party and other election observers that Have voiced their displeasure over the conduct of the polls.
