After
it was reported that Buhari’s chief of staff took bills to London to get
presidential assent from Buhari while Osibanjo was still in Nigeria filtered
through the ears of Vice President Osibanjo’s supporters, they were furious.
They were angry that the Vice president did not show
any sign of being dissatisfied by the development after they heard about the
defense offered by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) Adams Oshiomhole who claimed without apologies that Buhari can give assent
to bills from any location.
The presidency has also issued a statement claiming
that there is no rift between the President and his Vice but that is yet to
placate angry supporters who have denounced what have been variously described
as maltreatment.
