The Muslim community in Kaduna state has launched a media attack against the state deputy governor for appearing in dresses described by many as very unIslamic.
She is not the only high profile female to come under such attacks, even the first lady of Nigeria Mrs Aisha Buhari has also been criticized on many occasions for appearing in western and unIslamic clothes.
The event which she attended was downplayed heavily as attention focused on her outfit which looked quite stylish. She did not wear a hijab which is considered compulsory for all Muslim women.
Mrs Hadiza Balarabe was selected by Governor Elrufai as his deputy for his second term. She is a Muslim just like Elrufai.
