War of Words Over Attack On Obaseki In Benin

It is no longer news that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in crisis. The national chairman of the party Adams Oshiomhole who would have intervened in the crises is also a party to the crises.

As a result, the conflict between governor Obaseki and Oshiomhole who is a former governor of the state has heightened over the past few months unabated.

Recently, some thugs attacked at event win which the governor and some prominent personalities were in attendance. The Edo state government has blamed Oshiomhole for the attack.

It is believed that the conflict between the two is caused by Oshiomhole's refusal to allow Obaseki to run for another term in office.

He seems to want to have a firm grip of power in the state just like his counterpart and party leader Tinubu has in Lagos.
