Ibrahim Magu the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that the commission under his watch has secured 1900 convictions in the last four years.
Magu as spearheaded the anti-corruption war of the Buhari administration by pursuing a ruthless anti-corruption war in Nigeria. While receiving some visitors who had visited him from the United Kingdom.
Magu maintained that the anti-corruption war is still on track.
Magu was appointed as the chairman of the EFCC in 2015 but his appointment is yet to be confirmed as he still functions in an acting capacity.
However, that has not stopped him from making tremendous progress including recovering looted funds. According to him, about N794billion have been recovered in the course of the antigraft war.
High profile convictions of politicians and former governors have been recorded by the EFCC which has lived up to its mandate of ridding Nigeria of financial criminals.
