Nigerians
have devised a new way of making their grievances and dissatisfaction known to
the government of the day after the attempted hate speech bill almost tore the
confidence of many government critics away.
They have resorted to
using indirect ways to say that all is not well with the administration of
President Muhammad Buhari.
Surprisingly, most
Nigerian who have adopted these tactics has been ceaselessly praising late
President Umar Musa Yaradua who is also from Katsina state.
Umar Yaradua was
Nigerians president between 2007 and 2010 when he died in office. He is known
for promoting his seven-point agenda and he oversaw a booming national economy
with lower prices of goods and services.
Even though he was
criticized as being too slow, he was said to have made progress meaningfully by
making life easy for the masses unlike the current administration of President
Muhammad Buhari under whose watch the price of a bag of rice has reached an all
times high.
Since these criticisms
are soft, the media aides of President Buhari have not taken note of its damning
implication on the image of President Muhammadu Buhari who hails from Katsina
state like Yaradua.
