President
Buhari has congratulated the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson
for winning Britain's general election.
The charismatic UK
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has won the general election in Britain with a
clear mandate of taking the UK out of Britain before January 31, 2020. He came
to power after about 3 years of uncertainty.
His party defeated the
labor party with a wide margin in a landslide victory which is phenomenal in
modern history; that means that Boris Johnson has a high approval rating.
Nigeria’s President
Muhammadu Buhari has joined other world leaders to congratulate him on his
electoral victory.
Buhari hailed the
people of Britain for allowing Johnson to lead them at this critical point in
their history when they were about leaving the European Union.
The president listed
areas where Britain has collaborated with Nigeria such as in the fight against
corruption and anti-terrorism war. This was made known to newsmen by the
President Media aide Garba Shehu.
