Since
the federal government adopted the development of the rail sector and
transportation in general, it has consistently followed its plan to ensure that
the transportation master plan is achieved.
After giving the
Chinese contracts for the rail projects, they have also been given the job of
building Nigeria's first University of Transportation in Buhari’s home town
Daura.
Daura is located in
Katsina state and it has played host to several government programs since
Buhari’s assumption of office as President.
Dignitaries such as
President Buhari and Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi was also in
Daura for the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the
Transportation University.
