President Muhammdu Buhari has hinted that he does not regret his days as a military head of state in 1983 after he grabbed power through a military coup. Buhari made the submissions at sate house Abuja after marking his 77th birthday celebration.

Buhari must have been castigated by many people in Nigeria for being slow in implementing his plans for the people. Many people had expected that as soon as the president was elected, he will speedily deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

But five years into his administration, there is still endemic corruption, poverty and mass unemployment.

Even Buhari’s wife has tried to explain to Nigerians on why her husband is not performing. While she blamed the cabals that have hijacked Buhari's government Buhari thinks that democracy is the problem.
