Only
a few days ago, it was reported that the Punch newspaper decided to start
addressing President Buhari as General Muhammadu Buhari owing to what they
described as his military style of leadership.
At first, the
presidency did not know how best to react to the report until the went on to
make publications that described the president as a dictator.
When Femi Adesina
Buhari’s media aide was trying to react to the development, he said that Buhari
worked hard to earn the title and that there was nothing wrong in calling him a
general.
Many people thought that
the issue will be swept under the carpet until news broke that the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen 3 accounts belonging to Punch
newspaper over allegations that they got a share from the Dasuki loot.
Some All Progressives
Congress (APC) media support groups like the APC United Kingdom chapter has
also been spreading stories about how Punch newspapers received about 50
million from the Dasuki loot.
