When
the CEO od Airpeace decided to singlehandedly sponsor the return of hundreds of
Nigerians from South Africa amidst government reluctance, not everyone was
happy with him.
He chose to do what the
President felt was not needful as Nigeria was already taking some steps to sue
for peace with the South African government.
Recently, it was reported
that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun
investigations on Mr Allen Onyema to see if his wealth was ill-gotten.
Mr Allen was said to be
a consultant with the Niger Delta Development omission (NDDC) and operatives of
the EFCC suspect that he could have made his wealth from the NDDC which
receives billions of naira from the national budget yearly.
It any evidence is
found against him, Mr Allen may get into bigger trouble with Nigerian
authorities and may face criminal charges in Nigeria.
