Nigerians
have been reacting to reports that the new Transportation University will be
located in the home town of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The minister of
Transportation Rotimi Ameachi has also openly defended the location of the
all-important Transportation University in Daura.
Several large-scale
projects have been Lunched in many parts of the country by the Buhari led
administration which has placed a priority on transportation development.
The rail sector has
been of top priority to minister Ameachi who has made sure that he gives the
project the needed attention, lining major Nigerian cities by rail.
He seems to be the
brain behind locating the new Transportation University in Daura. Many people
see the decision as politically motivated to please Mr President.
Amaechi has also
vocally defended his decision claiming that there was nothing wrong with
locating the University in Daura.
