Nigerians Beg For Forgiveness After Burning Ondo Pastor's Church

After the Ondo state police command dismissed reports that the Ondo Pastor who is currently in Department of State Security (DSS) custody used a young boy for rituals and buried him under the altar of his church.

Mobs had besieged his church premises after rumors went viral of a corpse exhumed from the church alter. In anger, they set the church ablaze and vandalized other properties belonging to the pastor.

The young boy went missing some months ago during a church program and the pastor was accused of kidnapping the boy for money ritual.

However, public opinion on the issue has changed as Nigerians express regrets for concluding too early that the pastor had buried the boy under the church altar.

Meanwhile, the pastor has slammed a suit against the DSS for holding him in custody. He has denied any involvement in the disappearance of the child and described it as a gang up against him.
