Ondo Police Debunks Rumors of Missing Child Buried Under Church Alter



The Ondo State Police Command has debunked reports published in many news outlets across Nigeria that the 6 years old boy Gold who was declared missing at church premises and Ondo state was exhumed at the altar of the church where the child went missing.

In the midday of Wednesday 2019, reports began making the rounds that the body of the missing child has been exhumed from the alter of the church in Ondo state. The alleged discovery led to protests and riots from residents and law enforcement agencies.

Two people were reported dead during the crises which began when residents alleged that policemen were shooting live bullets to disperse the people who had gathered after news that the missing boy was found in then Church alter broke out.

The false alarm that the story generated spread quickly all over the media until some media outlets like AIT clarified the story.
