The
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has commenced an investigation into
the allegations of diversion of funds levied against the former Federal land
Revenue Boss (FIRS) Mr Fowler who is not in the EFCC net.
President Buhari
removed Fowler just in the same way that he removed FORMER Head of Service Mrs.
Winifred Oyo-Ita to fully commence an investigation into the matter.
Mr Fowler is considered
loyalists of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the national leader of the All
Progressive Congress. There are also speculations that the investigation of his
case may reveal damning pieces of evidence against Vice President Osibanjo.
Just a few months ago,
Vice President Prof Yemi Osibanjo came under severe attack from the media and
from the presidency where his powers and office were limited.
He was accused of
diverting N40bn through the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for the 2019
Presidential election to deliver votes from the Southwest.
According to unverified
reports, trouble began when the party saw that the successes recorded by the
All Progressives Congress (APC) in the southwest do not correspond to the
number of resources spent there.
