It was reported during
the Christmas season that Governor Godwin Obaseki, in the spirit of the
relative peace between him and Adams Oshiomhole sent some gifts to Oshiomhole
but he rejected them.
It quickly sparked rumors that the feud between the two is far from being
over. In an angry reaction to the action of the chairman of the ll Progressives
Congress (APC), the governor declared Oshiomhole suspended.
He also stated that all actions of the APC chairman are null and void
because he is not a member of the party. Oshiomhole and Governor Godwin Obaseki
have been in serious disagreements for the past few months over the forthcoming
governorship election in o state.
The recent crises indicate that not much has been achieved in the area of
peace between them despite intervention by key members of the APC.
