A marriage ceremony is one event that nearly every Nigerian plan towards because of its huge financial implication. At is why Nigerians were mindful of a new law soon to be introduced which stipulates the payment of certain amounts of money.

Churches will be required to pay the some of N30,000 according to the reports to get a license from the government to be able to carry out valid marriage ceremonies.
Newly married couples will also pay a fee to their church to get marriage ceremonies done.

Most people who reacted to the news described it as the government's taxation policy meant to create more hardship for the common man.
