America-Iran Crisis Sparks Unrest in Nigeria, Police Declare Red Alert

The ongoing crisis between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran has placed the world at the edge of a third world war. While world superpowers have been reacting to the recent escalation in foreign relations between America and Iran, protests took place in Nigeria.

Some Islamic groups who felt sympathy for the people of ran took to the street to protest American aggression. On social media, some muslims also condemned America for assassinating Soleimani.

The issue drew much attention from Nigerians that security forces fear that crises may erupt across the country if certain measures are not put in place.

Inflammatory statements from extremists about attacking Americans and Christians that are resident in Nigeria were also of concern to the Nigerian police force.

That is why the police have been placed on red alert nationwide to forestall any breakdown of law and order over the conflict between America and Iran. This was disclosed by Muhammed Adamu the Police spokesman.
