Since his exit from
the National Assembly, specifically the Nigerian senate, senator Shehu Sani who
hails from Kaduna state has been a vocal critic of President Muhammadu Buhari
and the All Progressives Congress-led federal government.
Just a few days ago, it was reported that Senator Shehu Sani tasked
Nigerians not to expect anything new or positive from the Buhari led federal
government even if Buhari remains president for the next 30 years.
His statements were provocative by all standards and Buharists watched
from a distance until December 31 when Senator Shehu Sani was arrested.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Senator
Shehu Sani for allegedly receiving N7.2million on behalf of a public organization
for the purchase of cars.
His arrest has sparked wide criticisms from members of the public some of
whom have described the APC government as intolerant.
However, supporters of the government insist that if senator Shehu Sani
has committed a crime, the law should take its course.
