IGP Bans FSARS, Other Police Tactical Squads From Routine Patrols | Victory to the Youths or Nay ?



The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has banned the personnel of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and different Tactical Squads of the Force from embarking on habitual patrols.

This IGP’s ban became contained in a statement issued on Sunday via the Force, Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.


The assertion said the IGP “banned the personnel of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and other Tactical Squads of the Force which includes the Special Tactical Squad (STS), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Anti-Cultism Squad and other Tactical Squads working on the Federal, Zonal and Command stages, from wearing out ordinary patrols and other conventional low-risk duties – forestall and search duties, checkpoints, mounting of roadblocks, site visitors assessments, and many others – with instantaneous impact.”
